An organized home is a happy home.

Right?

Well, it’s at least a happiER home.

And my home? Well, it needed some organization, no doubt about it. As wife, mommy, and homemaker, I desperately needed to get it together.

I have a few issues, as far as homemaking goes:

  1. I stay home with my daughter, work full-time from home, and write on the side. Time is this elusive concept that I never actually have.
  2. I DO have a toddler who likes to tornado through the living room, topple the towers of folded laundry, and throw her unfinished food on the floor.
  3. I am emotionally allergic to cleaning.

But I DO love organizing.

And I get a tad obsessive excited about systems. Planners, schedules, calendars, I love them all.

Enter the Home Management Notebook.

Basically, a Home Management Notebook is a resource for your home, keeping all your important paperwork and organizational wizardry in one place. I’d read about them on other blogs, seen all kinds of printables, but I could never find anything that totally worked for me {read: I couldn’t find all the documents I wanted in matching fonts and coordinating colors}.

So I made my own.

Meal planners, cleaning schedules, babysitter cheat sheets – I created everything I needed. And I’m more than excited to share it with you.

In this e-book you’ll find a few things. First, my soapbox on why having a Home Management Notebook will change your life. Then, a complete tutorial with step-by-step directions on how to create your own notebook. And finally (my favorite!!) – over 30 printables for you to download and use within your notebook. All in matching fonts and coordinating colors, of course!

No, being organized won’t accomplish world peace. It won’t make you love cleaning, and it won’t counteract the tornado-toddler issue.

But it will most definitely bring a little more peace to your home.

And we could all use a little more of that, am I right?

If you are looking for a home management notebook with all you need in one spot, this is a great tool! Kayse delivers a very practical system with cute printables to make your home happier! – Kelli W.

If you’re the girl who writes everything down somewhere and still forgets things (or forgets where you wrote it down…) this is the ebook for you! With some humor, precise steps, and printables, Kayse gives you everything you need in one place to help combat mommy brain. – Grace B.

I am one of the most unorganized people around, or at least I used to be. This book has everything you need to organize every aspect of your life. – Lisa B.

Pretty much all you need to set up homekeeping or get your already existing home in order. Perfect gift for a new bride! – Wendy J.

I have been wanting to set up a system for a while. I have looked at other ideas and just not feeling like it would be for me. That all changed once I read how Kayse did her system. I love the way Kayse organized hers and the way she detailed the different categories. She made it fun and fresh! – Harmony L.

These are the exact 4 steps I use to keep life ste These are the exact 4 steps I use to keep life steady - even in my busiest seasons:

1️⃣ Master the Schedule
2️⃣ Simplify the To-Do List
3️⃣ Create Time for Rest
4️⃣ Finish ALL the Unfinished Projects

These steps are simple, but in this order, they actually work! And they’ve completely changed the way I manage my home, my work, and my mental load.

I’m teaching all 4 steps (with a practical, do-able action plan) in the Finding Your Balance Workshop TOMORROW - and I'd love for you to join us!

➡️ Comment BALANCE below and I'll send you the link to join us in tomorrow's free workshop!
For years, my “project list” was basically a p For years, my “project list” was basically a parking lot for good intentions. Half-painted furniture, half-organized closets, half-started ideas.

And honestly? They were eating up way more mental space than I realized.

The real reason why I never finished anything is that I was trying to finish everything.

At the same time. 😬

Now focus on just ONE project to see through to the end before moving on.

It’s simpler. It’s doable. And it’s actually fun, because one finished project snowballs into another, and keeps your motivation going!!

Ready to finish some of your own unfinished projects?
1️⃣ Brain dump every single project into one list
2️⃣ Pray + prioritize (urgent, soon, later)
3️⃣ Focus on ONE project at a time until it’s done

The best part? The list gets shorter. And our brains gets quieter.

This is Step 4 of our Anchored Life Framework - I’ll be teaching all 4 steps in detail during our Finding Your Balance Workshop on Aug. 26th.

Confessions of a recovering perfectionist: If I do Confessions of a recovering perfectionist: If I don’t plan my rest, it doesn’t happen.

For years, I thought rest would just… happen. But the truth is, it won’t.

Not in our hustle culture.

Not when productivity is worshipped and busyness gets a gold star.

God made us with limits on purpose. And He gave us the gift of rest!

So for me, making rest a reality means means making it practical:
🗓 I schedule it into my planner every month.
💛 I choose activities that actually refresh my mind, body, and heart.
🙏 I treat it as important as work.

Try it for yourself: Write down your own rest ideas, then schedule them weekly this month. I promise - it’ll change your pace and your peace!

Share this with a friend who needs some realistic ideas for rest, too!

P.S. This is Step 3 of our Anchored Life Framework - I’ll walk you through all 4 steps in the Finding Your Balance Workshop on Aug. 26th. Get the link to RSVP when you comment BALANCE below!
I used to keep my to-do list in about 12 different I used to keep my to-do list in about 12 different places - sticky notes, my phone, the corner of a notebook, my brain.

No wonder I felt behind all the time!

Now I run our home from ONE Master Checklist. Everything we need to do fits into ⬇️
* Daily Habits (the little things I want to remember each day)
* Weekly Habits (routines that keep life running)
* Monthly Projects (one-off tasks I don’t want to forget)

This simple shift has saved me HOURS and so much mental energy!

Want to try it for yourself?
🖊️ Write down all your tasks
🎨 Highlight them as Dailies, Weeklies, or Monthlies
☑️ Organize the tasks by category
📌 Post the list somewhere you’ll see it, and check things off as you do them!

P.S. This is Step 2 of our Anchored Life Framework — I’m teaching all 4 steps in the Finding Your Balance Workshop on August 26th. Comment BALANCE below and I'll send you the link to join us!!
I used to think saying “yes” to everything mad I used to think saying “yes” to everything made me a good friend, wife, and mom.

But really? All it really made me was…exhausted.

Now, when I'm trying to find some balance in our daily life, I start with our calendar - because if our schedule is out of control, everything else will be too.

Here’s what’s working for us as a family right now:

1️⃣ One master calendar // Shared with Jon, of course, so we’re always on the same page.
2️⃣ Color coding (IYKYK) // One color per person makes everything visual and clear.
3️⃣ Make it visual // I still put everything on a big paper calendar that hangs in our kitchen so I can see the whole month at once.
4️⃣ Protect the margin // Rest days, family nights, and church on Sunday are all non-negotiables.

These 4 steps help me keep the calendar in check, and the balance in our home a little more...well, balanced!

Want to hear more of what's working for me right now? I'll share a few more tips throughout the week, AND a ton more in next week's free workshop!!

➡️ In the Finding Your Balance Workshop on Aug. 26th, I’ll walk you through all 4 steps of our Anchored Life Framework, and how you can use it to get some of your own balance back. Comment BALANCE below and I'll send you the link to RSVP!

If you want to feel more balanced, you've got to start with your time. Find the white space. Guard it like it’s gold - because it is! 💛

You’ve got this, friend!
This was a SUPER CUTE tea station not too long ago This was a SUPER CUTE tea station not too long ago.

But school starts tomorrow and we needed a space for homework + backpacks, so here we are!

📲 Charging station for all devices because those babies don’t go into bedrooms, period.

🖍️ Planter cups for every kind of pen or pencil or marker a student could possibly want.

🌼 Flowers for me because I cannot get enough of cut flowers in my 40’s. I LOVE THEM.

This space is right between our kitchen and dining table. Is it the cutest ever? No, it’s not. But it’s super functional and keeps our priorities top of mind - no screens upstairs, family time in the evenings even if that includes homework, our house is meant to be lived in, not photographed.

As the school year starts, ask yourself: “What can I do to make our spaces more functional? What activities do we need to be able to do here? How can I make that even easier?”

Function over fashion. I promise it’s worth it!

Getting your own house ready for the school year? Comment SCHOOL and I’ll send you our full (free!) BTS Prep Pack with our best tips!
