The only 2 things I bought on Prime Day (+ 1 thing I’ll NEVER buy again!)
I woke up early this morning and couldn’t got back to sleep, so I decided to see if anything on my wish list was getting a good discount for Prime Day. And WOOHOO!! They were!
So I thought I’d share the only 2 things we bought for Prime Day with you!
Now, this is where I tell you we are trying really hard to reign in our budget this summer, as I’m sure you are, too. So if this is not the time for you to shop Prime Day, just skip this post altogether. You didn’t need it yesterday, you don’t need it today.
I only looked for the things I knew we needed – My daughter has been saving for one of these items, and I’ve been saving for the other. So these purchases made sense for us. Maybe they’ll make sense for you, too!
The ONLY 2 things we bought for Prime Day today:
CRICUT JOY EXTRA
Emily has been saving for this for months, and stalking the listing for a discount – this is the BEST deal we’ve seen on it! So we’re taking the plunge. She wants to start a sticker business (how fun is THAT?!) and she’s so excited to get started. Best part? This one comes with tons of extras, for less than the machine alone usually is!!
ROOMBA w/ AUTO EMPTY DOCK
Our 10-year-old Roomba finally bit the dust, so we needed a new one! (We’ve used Roomba’s for years, and we love them – they last for so long!!) There are fancier ones out there, but this one should do the trick, AND it’s 50% off today!! I am THRILLED with that price!!
1 thing I’m still considering…
BISSELL LITTLE GREEN CARPET CLEANER
I’ve heard good things about this, and my carpets + couch desperately need a cleaning. This is a cheaper price (and has more longevity) than if I hired someone to do this, so I may take the plunge today or tomorrow!
2 things I didn’t buy today, but I would absolutely buy again!
WALKING PAD
You’ve probably heard me talk about this walking pad, and that’s because I am honestly obsessed with it. I keep it in the living room, where I can easily slide it under the couch when I’m not using it! It’s super affordable compared to a treadmill, it’s rose gold (!🥰!), and it’s held up GREAT. I use it all the time, and it’s still going strong. Highly recommend!
(Works great with this standing desk, too – also on sale today!! This is the one I have.)
KINDLE PAPERWHITE
This is the exact kindle I have and use myself – I have trouble reading real books since my eye surgery (it’s tragic, I know), but this kindle is perfect for me. I can change the font size and the warmth of the screen, and it’s perfect on my eyes. I get so much reading done with this!
My kids both have them too – for the kids, we make to sure get the kindles without ads (not all ads are age appropriate), and without Kindle Unlimited. Their kindles connect to my account, so I can monitor what goes on them. It works great! I can even get library books on there for them. And they are on sale for 22% off today!!
(Bonus tip – you get a credit AND a 20% off stacking discount if you trade in your old kindles – that brings the price down even more!!)
A few more things we love that are on sale right now:
- These notebooks that come with a strap AND a pen holder – perfect for journaling!
- These hair ties. They are seriously the best. I’m stocking up.
- This night light that projects Bible verses on the ceiling. My kids (ages 14 + 11) each have one and still use them, especially on anxious nights.
- This board game that our whole family loves + plays over and over. (And I’m totally considering this expansion pack!)
- This rechargeable book light that my son is obsessed with.
I hope that’s helpful for you guys! I got so excited about these deals this morning on things we were already hoping to buy. If you need any of these, I hope you’re excited about the savings, too!
And if you don’t need anything right now, more power to you. Keep those eyes down for the next couple days while the online world shares their favorite things. You can do it!!
In this together, Kayse
P.S. Looking for other goodies? Here are all my favorite planner supplies, my favorite organizational tools, and all my favorite fiction books + favorite non-fiction books!
P.P.S. The 1 thing I will NEVER buy again? The TINECO WET/DRY VACCUM ⬇️
I bought this during Prime Day last year after MONTHS of debating and watching all kinds of Instagram influencers rave about it.
I read all the directions, watched the videos, and used it SO EXCITEDLY…only for it to leak dirty water alllllllllllllll over my floors and force me to mop by hand afterwards. I tried multiple times, in multiple ways, and it never worked right.
So, I returned it, and I won’t ever buy it again! Purchase at your own risk. 🤣

A question and a comment:
Do you use a paperwhite Page Turner? My sister gave me one for Christmas and I love it! Especially at night when I want to snuggle under my blankets and read.
I had purchased the vacuum-mop you mentioned and do not have trouble with mine unless the filters are full. I have to empty the bottom when I fill up the top with the cleaning solution. Perhaps it’s not the best of the best, but it’s worked well for us once I figured out why it was leaking dirty water onto our floors. Not to say our reason was your reason!
I’m considering the roomba you mentioned. I’d love one that also mops. Okay, that’s two comments! 💛
