Your Weekly Reset | Vol. 6
Hey friends!
I sat in the car this morning and told my son, who was upset about something that hadn’t gone right in school, “Sometimes things just take time.”
And God was like, “Mmhmm…are you listening to yourself?!”
By nature, I am a productive person. I like checking things off my list and moving on to the next thing. And here in this season, my life is just…not like that. I feel the need to stay still, to sort through all the things that I have just kinda brushed under the rug for the last few busy busy years, and finally deal with them.
Sometimes, things just take time.
I’m not doing anything fast right now. I’m baking bread, which takes hours. I’m cooking for half the day, which I actually really enjoy. I’m going on walks without an endpoint, and talking with God. I still have to get my work done, don’t get me wrong, but for the most part, God just has me moving slowly through each day.
The productive part of me does not like it.
The years-of-exhaustion part of me loves it.
Sometimes, things just take time. Maybe we’d all do ourselves a favor to slow down and be patient with the way our own bodies and minds process change. Or maybe it’s just me.
Scripture for your week:
For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.
– 1 Corinthians 14:33
When life is moving fast, and I feel confused and overwhelmed, I find myself coming back to this verse as a reminder that chaos is not the place God would have me live. In this season of more slowness, I am embracing His peace in both my home and my heart!

Lately, I’ve been managing our home using the S.O.S. Digital Planning System, and it’s been a huge help for keeping everything organized in one place.
Here’s how I’m using it for home management:
- Tracking home projects without sticky notes everywhere
- Keeping routines and recurring tasks organized digitally
- Having access to plans on the go instead of relying on memory
If you like flexibility and want a calm, organized place to manage home life, this system has been such a gift for me. I know you’ll love it, too! ⬇️

🍽️ What I’m Using in the Kitchen → This Popcorn Popper I bought this as a Christmas gift for my brother – that’s how much I love this thing. I makes perfect popcorn without any oil, and it’s collapsible so it doesn’t even take up any space in the kitchen. Also worth noting: Jon says this is his favorite kitchen device! 🤣 Seriously though, it’s awesome.
🧺 What I’m Using to Stay Organized → These Transparent Sticky Notes Did YOU know that sticky notes came in a transparent version? Neither did I – my daughter introduced me to these! I love them so much because you can put them over a spot in your Bible or planner and still read what’s underneath it. AMAZING!!
🧺 Home Things Making Life Easier → This Fake Apple Remote One of my children broke our Apple TV remote, and when I went to buy another one, it was an insane price that I refused to pay. So I took a chance on this universal remote (which was a fraction of the price), and it has paid off big time! Not only does it work for the Apple TV, it also works for our TV itself, and our speakers. And it was literally less than $10.
Hope your week is full of what matters most! 💛
