Your Weekly Reset | Vol. 8
Hey friends,
By the time February hits each year, I struggle with at least a little bit of weariness. I’m an idea girl, and a planner, and lots of times that ends up resulting in a plate that’s a little bit too full.
Maybe you know what I’m talking about?
If there’s a chance that you, too, are experiencing a little February exhaustion, I want to encourage you with just a couple of ways you can give yourself grace & space, and still make progress on the things that matter to you.
1. Give LESS, instead of giving up.
Did you set a goal to get healthy this year? Well, instead of working out every single day this month, and tracking all your food, maybe you simply make it your focus to stick to your meal plan & get outside each day in February.
Small steps toward a big goal are still progress.
And paring back everything you’re doing (so that you can actually handle it) is a million times better than scrapping the whole thing and binge eating all the cinnamon rolls. Not that I would know anything about that.
Something I keep telling myself as I work on my goals this year >>> “It’s not all or nothing, it’s all or something.”
Instead of giving up, try giving just a little something. I have been so encouraged by this little shift in perspective, and I think you will be, too.
2. Plan for margin.
Is your schedule totally packed right now? Take a good, hard look at it, and start saying no to some things.
What’s non-essential? Get rid of those things.
Grab a stack of paper plates at Target and keep your dishes to a minimum this month.
Give your kids a basket of laundry and tell them that this is what they get to wear this month. When it’s dirty, wash it, and stick it back in the basket.
Turn off the TV and read a book.
Go to bed earlier.
Take care of yourself.
The truth is, when we force ourselves to keep going, even when our bodies, minds, and hearts are stressed, we don’t do anyone any good. We aren’t as productive, our work isn’t as meticulous, and our attitudes are short and impatient.
Allow yourself to pull back a little, and plan some space to rest this month. Chances are, your family needs a little rest too. Everyone will be better off for it.
Scripture for your week:
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
– Matthew 11:28-30
A reminder for your week: You are deeply loved by a gracious God, a God who does not encourage burn-out, and who invites us to come to Him when we are weary.

Right now, I’m getting ready for Spring by prepping our Spring Planning Workshop (happening on the 28th!!), and it’s been such a helpful reset for my heart and my calendar. Instead of jumping straight into filling in dates, this workshop helps me step back and plan the season around what actually matters most.
Here’s why I love this approach:
- It starts with reflection, not rushing
- It helps me choose realistic goals that fit this season of life
- It builds in time for rest, fun, and the things we don’t want to miss
- It includes a simple way to create a seasonal meal ideas list I can reuse year after year
The best part is that this isn’t just teaching – there’s built-in work time so you actually walk away with a real plan in hand. And if the live timing doesn’t work for you, you still get lifetime access to the replay and workbook!
If you’re craving a clear, peaceful plan for Spring, this workshop is a really good place to start! Get all the details below! ⬇️If you’ve never used this page before, I share exactly how I use it in a short video you can watch! ⬇️

📚 What I’m Reading → Everything’s Coming Up Rosie This is our monthly Book Club pick, and it’s one of my favorite books over the last couple years! I honestly love everything Courtney Walsh writes, but this was one of her best ones!
🧺 What I’m Using to Stay Organized → This Travel Bag I got this for my sister-in-law for Christmas and liked it so much I ordered one for myself, too! The way it sits open and makes everything easy to access, but still folds up so small – it’s the best! Comes in multiple colors, too.
✍🏼 Tools Helping Me Plan → These Planning Stickers! This is an incredible pack of stickers for less than $10! It’s become a new favorite – and they have them in multiple colors!!
Hope your week is full of what matters most! 💛

Kayse Pratt serves Christian women as a writer + designer, creating home + life management resources that help those women plan their days around what matters most. She’s created the most unique planner on the market, helped over 400 women create custom home management plans, and works with hundreds of women each month inside her membership, teaching them how to plan their days around what matters most. When she’s not designing printables or writing essays, you’ll find Kayse homeschooling her kids, reading a cheesy novel with a giant cup of tea in hand, or watching an old show from the 90’s with her husband, who is her very best friend.
