  1. This is me on a regular basis. I’m encouraged by your courage to share your imperfections and to see them as a way for Him to walk into your life. I’m working on it. I’m trying harder and harder to remind myself that every moment is a time for me to share His love. Sometimes I need to share it with myself and other times it’s with the woman carrying toddler like a football screaming through WalMart with a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread. Those are the women who I tell are doing a great job at being a mom. I had so many of those days and although my daughter will be 7 tomorrow, I still have the carry the screaming child out of the store days. Prayers that we all see the messes of our life and accept His gentle guiding hands. Thank you for your honest and open acceptance of your imperfections. You help us all feel a little more at ease in life. 🙂

  2. This. Is. Me. You and I must be kindred spirits because every word of your honest confession is what I struggle with. Thank you for this perspective and great reminder. I too, have had those do-over days to fix staying up way too late, leading to the aftermath of the next day. I too struggle with my emotions showing on the outside. Thank you for the reminder that those are the beautiful days because those are the days He steps in and cleans up our hearts. Wow!

  3. Thank you. I needed this. *hugs*

  4. Thank you for this post. Though my kids are grown and gone I remember SO many times at Christmas I could have used a do over day. My daughter was born on the 21st of December, the youngest of 3 so December was doubly busy for me. I still have nightmares of working all night Christmas Eve, getting home at 5 as the kids are waking up then cooking and hosting Christmas dinner for up to 30 people. Christmas was not a good time for me.
Though those days are gone the old stresses tend to come back at this time of year. I need reminding that Christmas is about God’s gift to us and not having everything perfect because I’m not perfect. (I have a huge inner introvert who won’t go out today except to work). Thanks Kayse.

  5. Wow. This made me laugh and it made me cry. You hit the nail on the head! Thank you for sharing honestly from your heart and providing encouragement!

  6. Oh my gosh! I can so relate! If I can’t do something perfect I don’t want to do it at all, including cleaning house! I’m not perfect so why would I think I can do anything perfect? You just put this all in perspective for me! Light bulb moment!

  7. I have no idea how you knew I needed this today! Thanks for re-sending it.

  8. Do you not realize I’m trying to get rid of open tabs on my browser right now? I can’t do that when you write something so good that I have to keep it open so I can re-read it later! 🙂

Seriously – this is so spot-on. I don’t even have words. Because this is me and you are right but UGH. You know?! 🙂

  9. This was great, I completely relate! I very much enjoy reading your posts.

  10. Totally can relate. I’ve had a lot of days like this lately as we’re going through the huge transition of moving overseas . And man do I want to “unsay” some things! But God has put this exact message of grace on my heart this week and even at church this morning . I realize I try to earn so much but grace can’t be earned . Hang in there momma, your Father adores you !

  11. I love your honesty, and I soooo identify with both the hard day AND the perfectionism! Blessings to you! <3

  12. What an awesome reminder. Thank you!?

  13. Your “do over” story touched me this morning. They way you were able to write it pick it apart. Thank you for sharing. I needed that today and probably tomorrow too.

  14. ❤️ This AND you !!
