Ever set a big, beautiful goal in January… only Ever set a big, beautiful goal in January… only to find it buried in your planner by March? 🙋🏼‍♀️

Here’s what finally changed everything for me: working backwards from the big picture into tiny, doable action steps.

My goal-setting flow looks like this:
Yearly goal → Quarterly milestone → Monthly step → Weekly priority → ONE small action today.

Here's an example:
Let’s say my yearly goal is: “Create a peaceful evening routine.”

📅 Quarter 1 Milestone:
→ Consistent 30-minute wind-down by March 31.

🗓 January Steps:
→ Set 9:30 PM phone-off alarm
→ Prep tea + reading basket by 8:30 PM
→ Lights out by 10:00 PM on weekdays

✅ Weekly Priorities (Sunday reset):
→ Phone off by 9:30 (5 nights)
→ Tea + book ready after dinner (5 nights)
→ Lights out 10:00 (4 nights)

🌅 Daily Action (written on my planner page):
→ “Set alarm now”
→ “Boil water at 8:20”
→ “In bed by 9:55”

It’s not fancy. But it’s faithful. And it works!!

That’s it. Big goals broken down into bite-sized actions that actually fit into real life.

The best new ever? The S.O.S. Planner is designed for this EXACT flow - yearly → quarterly → monthly → weekly → daily - so your goals never get lost in the shuffle again.

Monday mornings used to look like this: tea in han Monday mornings used to look like this: tea in hand, planner open, and me trying to build the perfect system - color-coding, time-blocking, drawing tiny habit trackers like I was preparing for the SATs. 😅

By Wednesday? I was already behind on updating it.

Here’s what I finally learned: if my planning takes more energy than it gives, I won’t keep doing it.

One morning I asked myself → What if I just did the bare minimum?

So, I opened a single daily page and wrote down four things:
✅ Top 3 priorities
✅ The day’s schedule
✅ Dinner plan
✅ One simple way to rest

That’s it. Five minutes, no perfection required. And guess what? I've actually stuck with this one-page-a-day habit — because it’s quick, realistic, and consistent!

The S.O.S. Daily Pages are built exactly for this rhythm: space for your schedule, your top 3, dinner, and rest. Simple. Doable. Peaceful!

I used to think one planner layout could handle ev I used to think one planner layout could handle every season of life.
Buuuuuuuut... that's not reality. ❌

Some weeks feel like a marathon of carpools + deadlines.

Other weeks are slower, with more space to breathe.

And each week needs a planner layout that MATCHES the needs for that week.

That’s why I created the Mix & Match Method! I plan like I’m building a capsule wardrobe – mixing and matching pieces to fit the season I’m in!

Here’s how it works 👇

1️⃣ Pick a Core Layout (your “everyday jeans”)
→ Daily for a detailed view
→ Weekly for a big picture view

2️⃣ Add Seasonal Extras (your “layering pieces”)
→ Sports season? Gotta have those meal planning pages!
→ Holidays? I'm adding in my gift tracker + event planner!
→ Slower months? Perfect for a gratitude log or reading list!

3️⃣ Switch it up when life changes - no guilt, no starting over! Just change out the layout and keep going.

4️⃣ Keep Intentional Anchors the same every week:
→ Meal plan
→ 3–4 small habits
→ At least 1 rest rhythm

5️⃣ Plan what’s certain + leave margin for the rest.
→ Write down the non-negotiables, and give yourself breathing room for the rest. Built-in flexibility = built-in peace.

I used to think planning had to look the same ever I used to think planning had to look the same every single week.

Spoiler: it doesn’t. 🙃
🤪 BUSY week? → I grab a daily layout.
😌 CALM week? → I stick with weekly.
😬 MIXED week? → I use both!

The key? Your planner should flex with your life - not the other way around.

Here’s the 4-step flow I use every week:
1 - Name the week: Busy, Calm, or Mixed.
2 - Pick the layout to match.
3 - Keep your anchors steady (meals, habits, rest).
4 - Plan only what you know + leave margin for the unknown.

No planner guilt. No wasted pages. Just simple, flexible planning that actually works in real life.

✨ Want to see this in action? Come to the Planner Reveal Party on Oct 13 at 11am PT! RSVP and you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look + our FREE Weekly Planning Checklist. Comment PARTY to save your seat!
