BEST Kitchen Tools for Cozy Fall Meals!
I love the chill in the air that signals fall- time to pack away the shorts, pull out the comfy jeans and scarves, and best of all, pull out the crock pot for those cozy fall meals! I’m talking soups, cheesy casseroles, and all. the. pie. Here are some of our fall kitchen favorites!
HEAVY LIFTERS
Every kitchen needs some good workhorse appliances. Here are some that do it all and a little more-in half the time!
Confession time- I love neat appliances but I hate the way the way they clutter up my kitchen. The fewer appliances I can have on my counter, the better. This Instant Pot does triple duty as a pressure cooker, a slow cooker, and a rice maker. It also has warming and sautéing functions- it can even make yogurt!
Does anything scream cozy comfort more than homemade bread? The best thing about this model is that it handles the mixing and rising for you- just pop in your ingredients, choose your settings and go!
The stand mixer is the true workhorse of any kitchen, especially as we get into baking season and this Kitchen Aid model has stood the test of time. I especially appreciate how many speeds this one has and how many attachments are available to truly make this appliance the ultimate heavy lifter!
BAKING BESTIES
The “Ber” months are made for baking! Here are some baking essentials that will make every recipe a little easier (and a lot more fun).
A good set of baking dishes is the unsung hero of every kitchen—perfect for casseroles, cobblers, and everything in between. This set can go from oven to table beautifully- I especially love the heart-shaped ramekins! If you are needing a good pie dish for those fall get-togethers, give this one a try!
Quality baking pans are the foundation of any baker’s kitchen. This set is heavy duty, non-stick, and includes a surprisingly wide variety- even a pizza pan!
Where has this measuring cup set been all my life? The cups range from 1 teaspoon to 1 cup, they stick to the counter for fewer messes, and they stack for easy storage. Plus the beaker design makes me feel like a mad scientist every time I cook!
Perfect Prep
The autumn months can be full, but dinner doesn’t have to be complicated. Here are some of our favorite tools that help you get dinner to the table faster on busy fall nights.
This is our favorite chopper, hands-down! It’s the one Kayse swears by and we have long recommended, and it’s still going strong!
As someone who adds cilantro to just about every dish (don’t judge me!) I can verify that these herb scissors are life-changing. They make prep go soooo much faster and this set is super easy to clean- they’re even dishwasher friendly!
So maybe this isn’t an essential item, but I love being able to add a little sprinkle of something to whatever I’m making without much hassle or added mess. It’s great for adding an extra dusting of sugar to cookies and pastries, but my favorite use is to add just a touch of pumpkin pie spice to my coffee in the morning!
Little Chefs
Some of our favorite memories are made with little hands helping in the kitchen. Here are some of our favorites for your smallest chefs.
Small people do not like to sit on the sidelines when it comes to cooking! I love that this set lets get right up in the action, chopping vegetables and peeling potatoes like a pro! Kids in the kitchen always need a grown-up nearby, but these plastic knives and graters make it a little safer (and a lot more fun) for them to help out.
These aprons come in several patterns that are too stinking cute- and they keep clothes flour-free!
Dog-eared and well-used, our copy of this cookbook proves that these recipes aren’t just easy for kids—they’re truly delicious too!
