What “going with the flow” taught me about summer…
A few summers ago, I decided not to plan a thing.
I was tired. Life had felt heavy. And the thought of making one more list – even a fun one! – felt like too much. So I just… didn’t. We were gonna go with the flow. Be spontaneous. Let the days unfold naturally. (Can you already tell where this is going? From your very non-spontaneous friend?!)
I’m sure you can guess what happened by week 2: Everything started going off the rails a bit.
The kids were “bored” and bickering. They kept asking for more screen time which only made the bickering WORSE. And I wasn’t very relaxed myself – trying to fit in work hours into the lack of schedule. I found myself scrambling for structure I hadn’t prepared for — and feeling a little defeated by 10 a.m. most days.
That’s when I learned something important: Intentional doesn’t have to mean rigid.
Intentional just means choosing what matters ahead of time, so you actually make space for it.
And THAT, my friends, is exactly why I created the Summer Planning Pack.
It’s not about packing your schedule full or forcing your family into a color-coded routine. It’s about lightly steering your days toward the things you care most about — fun, rest, connection, creativity!
There’s room in here for lazy mornings and lake days. Movie marathons and memory-making. The plan is totally yours to create — this just gives you a peaceful place to start.

It’ll help you figure out what you really want from this season — and how to gently shape your summer around it.
We can still go with the flow. Let’s just give that flow a purpose!
P.S. If you want even more help planning your summer, we’re hosting a Summer Planning Workshop on May 31st, and we’d love to have you join us! Get all the info here >>>
Kayse Pratt serves Christian women as a writer + designer, creating home + life management resources that help those women plan their days around what matters most. She’s created the most unique planner on the market, helped over 400 women create custom home management plans, and works with hundreds of women each month inside her membership, teaching them how to plan their days around what matters most. When she’s not designing printables or writing essays, you’ll find Kayse homeschooling her kids, reading a cheesy novel with a giant cup of tea in hand, or watching an old show from the 90’s with her husband, who is her very best friend.
