Day 2: Praying For Humility

Scripture: Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Philippians 2:4-8

Prayer: Father, make us humble. Make us a family who practices letting go of our pride and looking to Jesus as our example. As He did, help us to consider others before ourselves, and to live as servants to each other, because Christ, who is the Son of God, came to serve us first.

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13

  2. Humility is something that we all struggle with. I’ve learned that to even pray for humility we have to humble ourselves. One of my daily prayers is to be more of a giver and to love others more. God is working to improve me in areas like this where I fall short. Glory to God. Thank you for this post, God bless.

  3. I needed this, this morning… I have not been very humble today and this was a gentle reminder to repent of that and change my attitude. It’s not about me being served: it’s about serving others and looking to their needs as well as my own.

What a gracious Father we serve! Thank you, Kayse, for being willing to be his voice to me today.
