What to expect here on Intentional Moms in 2018 (+ some highlights from 2017!)
Well friends, we’re closing out 2017, and I thought today might be a good day to reflect a little on the past year, and then let you know what to expect here on Intentional Moms in the year ahead.
Like I talked about last week, this has been a really fun year on the blog. I spent a lot of time creating resources to help you simplify your life and make time for the things that matter, and you have seemed to love them!
Top 3 Products of 2017:
- The Intentional Moms Toolkit– This is the project I was the MOST excited about this year, because it actually gives moms more FREEDOM & TIME!! And it seems like you guys have been as excited as I’ve been! Over 600 of you have joined us, and we’re having such a blast in our community group. We’d love for you to join us while you still can – doors close on January 2nd!
- The Organized Life Planner – The planner got even better this year, offering new sizes and an updated design. Many of you are taking advantage of our sale this week and using the code INTENTIONALYEAR to get 20% off! My inbox is full of new planner users, and I’m so thrilled you’re taking the time right now to get organized for the year! You won’t regret it.
- The Simple Start Journal – This morning journal has been such a help to me, and it’s been one of our best-sellers this year! A quick way to get into the word, plan your day, and complete a short workout every single morning – it’s become one of our favorite resources this year!
We’ve grown our Facebook communities to include women from all over the globe, but it still feels like a small family in there. We pray for each other, share tips and encouragement, and our community group is just my favorite place on the internet. Thank you for being a part of it!
And I’ve loved seeing which posts have been the most meaningful to you this year. These 10 posts were the most visited, the most shared, and the most commented on in 2017!
Top 10 Blog Posts from 2017:
- One month of Costco Dinners for less than $300 – This was by FAR our most popular post of the year, and I totally understand why: it comes with a full month of meal plan ideas and a Costco shopping list. So easy!
- How to conquer your paper clutter once and for all – Paper clutter is the WORST. It gives me hives, and so this post is all about how to get it under control and, you know, stop itching. ?
- The 2018 Organized Life Planner – I’m so proud of our 2018 planner, and I LOVE that you all love it as much as I do. If you’re still looking for a planner, you’ll want to check this one out!
- Establishing Intentional Anchors in your daily life – Simple ways to establish fun traditions that your kids will always remember. This is one of my favorite posts ever.
- The 10 best podcasts for moms – Our favorite podcasts, all in one convenient place. Podcasts are the BEST!
- The best online Bible studies for women – This post gets the most traffic from Google; I think there are a lot of people searching for online Bible studies! Here are our favorites – ones you can count on to be solid Scripture + theology.
- Finding contentment as a mom in a world of comparison – Definitely a post you need to read and re-read every few months. Small and faithful, mommas – that’s all He calls us to.
- How to pray Scripture over your kids – If you don’t know how to pray for your kids, or just want a resource to help you pray a little more specifically, this is a GREAT place to start!
- The true schedule of a stay-at-home mom – I LOVE that this post is in our Top 10. I wrote it a little tongue-in-cheek a few years ago, and I think it’s still popular because it’s still true!
- The one skill we need to teach our kids in today’s culture – This is the newest post on the list, and I can’t believe that it’s already here. I’m so glad though, because I firmly believe that every mom needs to know this.
Let’s talk about 2018…
2017 was a great year for the blog, but it took up a majority of my time and focus this year. I have gotten much better about separating work and family time, so I do feel like I’ve grown in this area over the last 12 months, but I also recognize that I need more sleep than I allowed myself this year.
2018 is to be my year of Gentleness, and that applies to all areas of life. Because of that, I’m taking a gentle approach to the blog this year.
WRITING: I’ll be writing here on the blog just a couple of times a month – usually one post will focus on faith and motherhood, and one post will focus on organization & systems that will help you in your home. My focus for the year is on slowing down, making the most of what I already have, and loving my family well. That’s what I’ll be sharing with you, too. Make sure you’re subscribed below so you don’t miss a post!
EMAILS: Our weekly newsletters come out every Monday, giving you a little encouragement and focus for your week ahead. The newsletter will be the place I share more of our family happenings and honest confessions, so if you want to good stuff, make sure you’re subscribed below!

NEW PRODUCTS: We already have some incredible products for you in our shop, & instead of spending my time this year creating new ones, I want to help you learn how to use the ones we already have. I’ll be creating some new challenges, new email series, and more posts that help you put the products you’ve purchased to their best use in your home.
I feel like this strategy will help me keep the important things important for you, while also allowing me the ability to focus on my family first and give my best to them. If I can’t do that, I have no business writing to you at all!
Thank You.
I’m so grateful for you and your presence here. I pray that the resources I’ve created and the words I’ve shared have encouraged & blessed you this year – and maybe even freed you up a little bit more to focus on the things that matter MOST.

STOP! Don’t miss your LAST CHANCE to enroll in the Intentional Moms Toolkit!
Hey friends! In case you didn’t know, we’re closing enrollment for the Intentional Moms Toolkit this week, and I don’t know when we’ll be opening it up again. Not for a few months, at least. Doors close on January 2nd, so we can spend time pouring into our members and making sure everyone has exactly what they need. We’d love for you to join us before then!
The Toolkit is our premier monthly membership for moms who want to free up their time so they can truly focus on their families. Every month you get a full meal plan, a home care checklist, a family connection guide, self-care strategies, budgeting tips, and more. Plus an incredible new community of women who are all doing the same thing & committed to encouraging you along the way.
It’s all the plans you need, so you can quit spending your time chasing after your to-do list, and finally get to the things that really matter. But it’s not available for much longer!
Want in before the doors close? Click here to join us!

Kayse Pratt serves Christian women as a writer + designer, creating home + life management resources that help those women plan their days around what matters most. She’s created the most unique planner on the market, helped over 400 women create custom home management plans, and works with hundreds of women each month inside her membership, teaching them how to plan their days around what matters most. When she’s not designing printables or writing essays, you’ll find Kayse homeschooling her kids, reading a cheesy novel with a giant cup of tea in hand, or watching an old show from the 90’s with her husband, who is her very best friend.
