Hiding His Word In Our Hearts – A Free Monthly Bible Reading Plan
Lately, my quiet times have looked a little different.
Instead of using the reading plans from She Reads Truth (which I still love, by the way), I’ve been writing out Scripture instead. I’ve been using my Write The Word Journals, and realizing that there’s something powerful about writing out Scripture. It gives me extra time to think about the words I’m reading, and it commits those verses deeper into my memory.
I’m loving it.
Deuteronomy 6:4-9 is one of my favorite verses, especially since becoming a mom. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
The fact of the matter is that I don’t know how to teach God’s Word to my children if I don’t know it myself. And I want to know His Word inside and out, not just reading it once a day, but really and truly hiding it in my heart.
Which is why, this year, I’m going to focus on memorizing Scripture.
I’m not good at this. I’m just not. But I’ve come up with a plan that focuses on 2-3 important passages of Scripture each month, passages that correspond with the church calendar. So, each month I’ll be reading these passages, writing them out every day, and hearing them at church too.
And since I’m going to be doing this… I thought maybe you’d like to do it, too?
Tomorrow, I’ll be sending out this reading plan and journaling page to all of my subscribers! It’s a printable calendar with a scripture to write out every day in January, plus a journaling page to actually write the Scripture out, and journal your thoughts! (You can print out a journaling page for each day – I’m planning to put mine in a binder.)
The reading plan starts January 1st! Like I said, I’ll be sending it out with my newsletter tomorrow, so if you want to join me, make sure you’re subscribed! (If not, just fill out the form below!)
I hope you do! I’m really excited to dive deeper in the Word and commit these passages to memory!
P.S. Don’t forget that the Winter Session of the Stop Settling For Overwhelmed Course is open this week only!! Session starts on Monday, January 4th! Read more here. Don’t miss out!!

She’s created the most unique planner on the market, helped over 400 women create custom home management plans, and works with hundreds of women each month inside her membership, teaching them how to plan their days around what matters most. Writing out scripture is my go to method for studying the Bible. It really does help you focus on what’s being said word for word. I need to check out that journal!
Hello Kayse, I have so much enjoyed the January Bible reading plan. Will you have one for us for February? I hope so! Thank you, Melanie
